WordPlay Cincy 

WordPlay Cincy is a non-profit organization committed to activating the strengths of children and teens in a safe, inclusive and inspiring place. WordPlay provides in-school, after-school and summer programs for children and teens. CDF provided a line of credit to WordPlay to bridge incoming grants and donations towards the complete renovation of their new facility in Northside. 

Impact: 

  • Support for grassroots, community-based nonprofit connecting children and teens to meaningful out of school activities. 
  • Renovation of 5,600sf building in Northside 

Amount: $125,000 

Cincy Bike Share, LLC  

Cincinnati Red Bike is Cincinnati’s non-profit, station-based bike share system. CDF provided a line of credit to Cincinnati Red Bike for working capital and to bridge the timing of donations. 

Impact: 

  • Support for regional public transportation option for residents and visitors alike 

Amount: $250,000  

Tri-City Staffing Services 

Tri-City Staffing, LLC is a Cincinnati-based company founded in 2013 that sources, screens and matches skilled candidates to the right positions. CDF provided Tri-City Staffing, LLC with a line of credit to help cover expenses related to placing workers on the First Financial Center renovation project. The scope of work included general labor and cleaning services for the project during the build phase and a final clean prior to turning the project over to the owner.

  • Support to help small business grow and participate in large civic project
