Freestore Foodbank
Freestore Foodbank is the largest emergency food and services provider to children and families in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. The organization distributes 47.2 million meals annually to low-income individuals and families. The Freestore Foodbank supports 579 community partners in 20 counties throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, including food kitchens, homeless shelters, emergency food pantries, social service centers and program sites. The $36 million project in the Riverside neighborhood created operational efficiencies for the organization and increased its capacity to better serve the community. In addition to serving as its main distribution center, the new building also houses workforce training programs like Cincinnati COOKS.

Bethany House
Bethany House developed a 58,842 sf new facility in Bond Hill, consolidating multiple locations into this building, improving care for its clients. Bethany House Services provides housing stability solutions to families who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused. The facility includes 222 beds and the organization provides wrap-around services to help individuals and families transition to permanent housing.
CDF allocated $8 million in NMTC to the project.

Artworks
Artworks is an award-winning nonprofit organization that creates community-based public art by providing career opportunities for artists of all ages. Over the past 30 years, the organization has created a citywide gallery with more than 14,000 public and private art installations, including more than 300 permanent outdoor murals. The development project included the complete rehabilitation of an historic building in Walnut Hills, creating a new and permanent home for the organization.

- $5.9 million investment in the Walnut Hills business district
- Rehabilitation of historic, 13,300 sf building
- Permanent new space for nonprofit organization
Amount: $2 million capital campaign bridge loan

CityLink Expansion
CityLink Center is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting Cincinnati’s unemployed and working poor with holistic care to provide a path to lasting growth and hope. Located in the West End neighborhood, CityLink Center has a campus- like environment where multiple opportunities exist for clients to improve employment, education and life outcomes. CDF supported CityLink’s expansion of a 8,000 sf training center and expanded daycare facility. The expansion added new career training opportunities in construction, automotive repair and childcare.
CDF directed $5 million in a New Markets Tax Credit allocation to this expansion project.

Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center
The Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center is a nonprofit arts organization founded in 2004. The organization purchased 3464 Central Parkway in Clifton and following extensive renovations, the building will become The Manifest Center for the Visual Arts. The CDF bridge loan will help the nonprofit to complete the renovation and add a printing wing.

- Historic property stabilized and rehabilitated in Clifton
- Expansion for 22-year-old nonprofit arts organization
